No Cookies Or Accounts

The public clip.dj search surface does not set cookies, does not offer public accounts, does not create private user profiles, and does not store query history in the browser. The private `/admin` area uses a strictly necessary authentication cookie for authorized operators only.

Server Requests

When you open clip.dj, the server necessarily receives request data such as IP address, time, requested URL, user agent, referrer if sent by the browser, and response status. This is used to deliver the page, maintain security, diagnose errors, and operate the service. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable public website.

Search And Share Data

Search queries can be stored with public share IDs, result clip IDs, inferred category, effective market, selected destinations, and cache metadata so shared pages and redirects can open without repeating model or vendor discovery work. Do not enter private, confidential, payment, health, or account data into the search field.

xAI And Caching

On cache misses, clip.dj may send the query and minimal structured context to source APIs or xAI to identify the item and useful destination links. Cached share pages and clip redirects should not call xAI. The legal basis is providing the requested search result and our legitimate interest in efficient, useful link discovery.

GeoIP And Abuse Protection

The server may use trusted country headers, a local GeoIP lookup, or the browser's language region to choose market-sensitive destinations such as regional stores. For fresh cache-miss searches and operational statistics, clip.dj may keep short-lived rate buckets and first-party event counters based on hashed IP address and user agent to protect the service, count searches, count clicks, estimate active users, and understand country-level use while keeping cached public pages open.

Vendor Icons And Outbound Links

Favicons are fetched server-side and served from first-party clip.dj icon URLs when possible. Clicking a result leaves clip.dj and opens the selected third-party destination. The destination then processes data under its own terms and privacy notice.

Your Rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing where the legal requirements are met. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority. For requests, email hello@clip.dj and include the information needed to identify the relevant request or public clip URL.
