I had an appearance on Drumchannel a few days ago and got the friggin ridonkulous opportunity to meet my all-time favorite drummer, Tony Royster Jr :) Epic thanks to Don Lombardi from DW who made the appearance and this epic experience possible. I got to hang out with Terry Bozzio aswell, and got a tour of the DW factory. A virtuoso of many musical styles, Royster has preformed alongside some of the worlds top artist including Jay-Z, Joe Jonas, and #1 selling Japanese artist Hikaru Utada. Tony's mind blowing hand and foot speed, complimented by his controlled independence, come into easy view in this video recorded in September 2011. His instructional DVD's "Pure Energy" (2007), and The Evolution of Tony Royster (2009) are further examples of his journey to becoming a drum legend.
