22. Teo Torriatte (Queen-Live In Tokyo: 2/17/1981)

All right my fellow subscribers! It's time for some updated concerts: I have received three new sources for three of the Japan 1981 concerts. All of them are in better quality than the previous sources I have uploaded (which is why I removed them). I have chosen 2/17 first, because it's a Mr. Peach recording (which means the quality is excellent, and the concert is complete), and it's got to be one of Freddie Mercury's funniest and most unstable vocal gigs I have ever heard (he actually cracks and airs notes in the 3rd and lower 4th octaves). Freddie's voice does sound strong--but damn, it's unstable! The rest of the band are in top form, and the audience is superb! ENJOY!!! The legendary TSS_Killer and myself have found some bloopers on this concert (since the Mr. Peach recording can bring out everything)! 1. Freddie's funny phrasing during the 1st verse of "Let Me Entertain You." 2. Freddie speak-singing, and making up random phrasing during "Killer Queen." 3. Freddie's voice not cooperating during "Bohemian Rhapsody" (random vocal breaks throughout). 4. Random vocal breaks during "Another One Bites The Dust." 5. One the funniest versions of "We Are The Champions" (random phrasing that doesn't make sense, airing notes, etc).

10. Teo Torriatte (Queen-Live In Sapporo: 5/6/1979)

Ladies and gentlemen: A Night In Sapporo! This is the FINAL concert on the long and exhausting Jazz/Live Killers Tour. Being that, Queen have brought back some songs they dropped on the last several gigs--bringing this excellent concert to a grand 130 minutes! That's over TWO HOURS of Queen! This is generally considered one of the best Japan gigs Queen has done, and I agree! This gig is complete, and although Freddie's voice is still very rough, he puts in some great performances, and is generally much better here, than he was on the (in)famous 4/25/1979 concert. This concert was remastered by my friend TSS_Killer (tsskiller08): He fixed the pitch, tempo, and EQ'd the sound--leading to a better listening experience! Note: After listening to this concert, TSS_Killer and I have found lots of bloopers and classic moments in this show. Here's the list: * Freddie makes up piano notes during Somebody To Love's ending * "Ghost On Two Legs" (random sung low notes) * Freddie shows Japan how NOT to sing Bohemian Rhapsody * The "stop-singing" on We Are The Champions * "Fail Of My Life" (Freddie forgets the lyrics, and STOPS the song in places)! * We find out, that Freddie is an official "maracas salesman." * Roger Taylor makes fun of the band's touring manager Gerry Stickells ("Geriatrics"). * Freddie forgets the lyrics to Keep Yourself Alive. * During We Will Rock You, the Japanese girls are playing with bicycle bells, and SQUEALING along with Freddie! LMFAO! ENJOY!!!

20. Teo Torriatte (Queen-Live In Tokorozawa: 11/3/1982)

Inhonor of PushingAPullDoor and Isle0fRed (he's not feeling well), I have decided to upload this concert--the FINAL gig on the Hot Space tour. This gig is complete and the quality is very good! Despite being exhausted from 7 months of touring, the band are still full of energy and put on a top-notch show for the audience (who are very enthusiastic throughout)! After 7 months of straight touring, Freddie's voice is well, a bit---"unstable" throughout: Leading to some "classic" moments in songs like "Play The Game," "Body Language," "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Teo Torriatte," and "We Are The Champions." Despite such moments, Freddie does his best to cope, and delivers some awesome interpretations of the songs! ENJOY!!!

9. Teo Torriatte (Queen-Live In Yamaguchi: 5/2/1979)

You ever heard of the term, "There's a silver lining in every cloud?" Well, this concert is great example of that phrase. After the Fukuoka fails, this concert sheds some light on everybody's ears (and Freddie's voice). Freddie's voice has recovered slightly--he has gotten his tone back, and some range is returning! He overall, delivers a much better performance than the previous few gigs, and his intonation is better! The rest of the band are in great form, and like the other Japanese shows, they aid Freddie (he still has trouble with his voice--albeit not as bad) very well! This concert is in pretty good quality, but is quite incomplete (the tape cuts out during the Brighton Rock section)! ENJOY!!!

6. Teo Torriatte (Queen-Live In Sapporo: 5/5/1979)

For the final upload of the Japan 1979 concerts (I uploaded the second Sapporo gig months ago), we are actually going to end on a HIGH note (quite literally-lol)! After a couple days off, Freddie's voice has noticeably recovered from the multiple shows, and actually wouldn't sound out of place on the European leg of this tour! His tone has returned to its original state, and his mid range has recovered quite a bit! He delivers the songs with more ease and precision compared to the previous gigs, and although the concert is VERY incomplete (over half the concert is missing), this possibly could've been Freddie's best Japan 1979 show (though since the Osaka gigs are complete, they are considered his best Japan shows)! Freddie's note choices are better compared to the previous concerts (no second octave stuff at least), and he actually sings some solid Ab4s throughout the concert! Freddie delivers a great version of Somebody To Love, an excellent Killer Queen (a top 20 version in my opinion), and his Don't Stop Me Now isn't too bad either! The rest of the band are excellent as well! The quality is quite rough, but it's still listenable! ENJOY!!!

32. Teo Torriatte (Queen-Live In Tokyo: 2/18/1981)

After a few days off (sickness), Gregsynthbootlegs is back in commission! After holding a debate, the gig that will be uploaded next is from the last Tokyo gig during the 1981 leg of The Game Tour. This gig is 99% complete (Roger's tympani solo is somewhat cut), and it's in decent quality. Being the last gig of the Japan 1981 leg, Freddie's voice is a bit unstable tonight--cracking and breaking much more than usual during his "prime live" era. He does however, have many strong moments, and always finds ways to get around those tricky higher notes at times. Note: To make up for the missing days, I have tagged a 7 minute soundcheck from this gig (after God Save The Queen). The band run through Teo Torriatte, and Freddie plays bits from Somebody To Love, and In The Lap Of The Gods! ENJOY!!!
