Description: More info at http://hamsa-yoga.orgDattatreya was a liberated saint, one of the highest buddha s, of the Lal Pujari tradition, not a nath yogi, who tried to liberate the aghora yogis. The Nath tradition (Sampradaya) is a timeless lineage of spiritual masters, connected with Infinite Consciousness through the greatest Yogi of all ages, Babaji Gorakshanath, (the same introduced in Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi). These ancient yogis discovered that the secret of cosmic consciousness is intimately linked with breath mastery. The life force, which is ordinarily used for bodily functions, can be channeled for higher activities by a method of calming and stilling the ceaseless demands of the breath. As we peer into the akashic records of the misty past, we get a glimpse of the lineage of the Nath Yogis. It began from Adi Nath, Lord Shiva himself, who gave it to Matsyendranath and his consort Parvati Nath. She gave it to Shanmuk Nath, Ganesh and Nandi Nath. Then Lord Krishna as Vishnu initiated Lord Vivasvat, the Spirit of our sun. The lineage was later guarded by the kings of the solar dynasty. Then Vaivasvat Manu, King Ikshavaku down to Harishchandra, then to Lord RaghuNath (Rama), 47th in descent from Ikshavaku (He is the 8th Rudra, esoterically connected with Shiv Goraksha Babaji). It is through this grand lineage of the Nath Yogis that the royal science of Kriya Yoga has been preserved and handed down through the corridors of time by the ever living Shiv Goraksha Babaji.Yogiraj Siddhanath is descended from the solar Dynasty of Ikshavaku Ram. His spiritual lineage is also from the same source - blessed by Mahavatar Babaji to spread this Divine science of Kriya Yoga in the East and West. The Nath Sampradaya does not recognize caste barriers, and their teachings were adopted by outcasts and kings alike. The heterodox Nath tradition has many sub-sects, but all honor Gorakhnath and Matsyendranath as their originators and supreme Masters. Tantra tantric sex Nath sampradaya tradition abhinavagupta kularnava tantra vijnana bhairava ***Yogiraj is a living master and solar seer, and helps sincere practitioners of yogic meditation awaken to higher levels of consciousness through chakra awakening/activation and esoteric practices of Himalayan yoga.Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath was born on May 10, 1944 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. He has been meditating since the age of 3, and spent his early years in the Himalayas amongst the HamsaNath yogis, in whose presence he was transformed. The divine transformation flowered after his deep and personal experiences in 1961 and 1967 with the yogi-christ Mahavatar Shiv-Goraksha-Babaji, the same spiritual master described in Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi. He has a wife of 30+ years, Gurumata Shivangani, with whom he built by hand the Hamsa Yoga Sangh Ashram (Spiritual Retreat) outside the city of Pune, near Bombay, India. They have two sons, and two grandchildren.Yogiraj teaches yogic meditation for the evolution of human consciousness. These perennial practices of yoga are the most ancient closely guarded sacred practices of the Himalayan yogis and masters from time immemorial. They help the practitioner gradually transform him/herself into the likeness of his/her own divinity. This ancient art and science has been a way of life for rare yogis and ascetics of India and abroad who have sacrificed everything in the search for their own inner Truth, their inner Godessence. Today, Yogiraj demonstrates in his own life and livingness, that powerful spiritual practice can be integrated with family life and a career. By the blessings of Babaji, Yogiraj teaches these techniques, which he collectively calls "The Alchemy of Total Transformation" to sincere seekers throughout the world, who wish to integrate these practices into their daily life, without the necessity of giving up worldly pursuits. These techniques are called:1. Mahavatar Babaji's Kriya Yoga (N.B., the exact same kundalini kriya originally given to Lahiri Mahasaya in the 19th century)2. Siddhanath Surya Yoga - A dynamic osmosis of solar healing. Pranic self-healing with solar power.3. Siddhanath Hamsa Yoga - The Way of the White Swan.If earth peace is to herald the dawn of the new age, let us all realize that:Humanity is one's only religion,Breath one's only prayer, andConsciousness one's only God.

Free MP3 Download of Tantric Mantra of Goddess Tara (Mahavidya) high quality MP4

The Goddess Tara's "main mantra, her bij (seed) syllable, is OM. She possesses a longer 5 syllable mantra: OM HRIM STRIM HUM PHAT! OM is the mantra of deliverance (Taraka Mantra). HRIM is a mantra of purification and transformation. STRIM is the feminine nature (stri) and gives the power to give birth and sustenance. HUM is the mantra of divine wrath and protection, as well as knowledge and perceptive power. PHAT also gives protection and destroys obstacles." Vamadeva Shastri-David Frawley. "Tantric Yoga and the Wisdom Goddesses." Many are familiar with the Green and White Goddess Tara in Tibetan Buddhism, who is a saviouress from fear and suffering, and a Goddess of Compassion. She originates from the Indian Hindu Goddess Tara--who is a Mahavidya Tantric Goddess of fiercer form (very similar in iconography to Kali) but still embodies compassion and protection to her devotees. Included in the video images are forms of both the fierce Hindu/Tantric forms of Tara, as well as the Tibetan Images of her. Also you will see Yantras, which are geometrical meditational images, designed to take you directly into the archetypal essence the goddess represents, beyond the human form. Note the powerful mantra "PHAT' has varying pronunciations according to region. Some begin the mantra with a soft, aspirated, "puh" (as here), and other begin it with more of a regular "F" sound. Enjoy your meditation and receive the blessings of TARA! Namaste, SoulDharma-Shivanand You can order a CD with ...

Free MP3 Download of Trataka gazing with Soham mantra: Yoga and Tantra meditation high quality MP4

Trataka is gazing, and is a traditional meditation practice of Yoga and Tantra. SoHum (or SoHam) is a Universal Mantra, as it relates to the breath, and everybody breaths. SoHum is a Sanskrit word that means I am that, or I am that I am. Inhale with the sound So, And Exhale with the sound Hum. Allow the sounds to silently repeat in your mind, without speaking them aloud. There are a total of 40 SoHum and breath repetitions The speed of one repetition is 9 seconds per breath, which is 6 2/3 breaths per minute. This rate is ideal for relaxing the autonomic nervous system, and also preparing for deep meditation. Breathe with your diaphragm, while gazing at the center, silently remembering So with inhalation and Hum with exhalation.

Song of the King: Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava

Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava is one of the outstanding figures in spiritual history and origin of Buddhist Tantra as practiced today. When he first came to Tibet from India the Tibetan King waited for Guru Rinpoche to prostrate to him as other spiritual teachers had. Guru Rinpoche did not. After a bit the king said "I am waiting for you top prostrate to me." and Guru Rinpoche laughed and said "I am waiting for you to prostrate to me!" and he singed the kings beard with a magical mudra and mantra. This moment made clear that enlightenment does not bow its knee to worldly power, worldly considerations, worldly concerns. This is the proper attitude for those on the Dzogchen and Tantric paths. Song of the King: Oh great and powerful King Ecstatic dancing thunderbolt Fierce as a lion, tender as the evening star Graceful sword of compassion Raggedly blissful warrior We will follow you to the end Oh great and powerful friend Oh great and powerful King Poet of fluid reality Bright as the fiery sun, mirror of the noble heart Wrathful magician of peace Conquering knight of shadows deep We will follow you to the end Oh great and powerful friend Oh great and powerful King Compassionʼs brilliant Flaming Jewel Fiery and joyous, vast as the open sky Luminous wonder and mystery Burning heart of every being We will follow you to the end Oh great and powerful friend Oh great and powerful King Shining display of purity Sphere of great wisdom, wrathful protector of Truth Spontaneous presence ...

The Hermetic Hour - Hermetic Yoga

The Hermetic Hour's host Poke Runyon presents a lecture on Hermetic Yoga discussing the chakras in the etheric-plane Hindu tantric system, and the variations in Tibetan tantra. The kundalini in Hindu, Tibetan and Taoist procedures will be discussed. We will then differentiate between the etheric Hindu system, and our astral arrangement that follows the "Lightning Flash" on the Western Tree of Life. The philosophical importance of the Western arrangement will be compared to the Eastern system's alchemical correspondences. We will discuss the origin of our system, from the Golden Dawn's Middle Pillar exercise, to its full development now used by the OTA in its magical operations. The mantras and affirmations will be demonstrated and explained. Tune in and we'll meditate our way from Omega up to Tau, and beyond.

His family were nomads. He was the most influential lama of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism in contemporary Tibet. In 1959 he made the crucial decision to remain in Kham rather than flee to India. A Tibetan Buddhist meditation master and renowned teacher of Great Perfection (Dzogchen), he established the Serthar Buddhist Institute in 1980, aka Larung Gar, a non-sectarian study center with approximately 10000 monks, nuns, and lay students at its highest count. He played an important role in revitalizing the teaching of Tibetan Buddhism following the liberalization of religious practice in 1980. The purpose of the Institute has been to provide an ecumenical training in Tibetan Buddhism and to meet the need for renewal of meditation and scholarship all over Tibet. Despite its remote location, it grew from a handful of disciples gathering in Khenpo's home to be one of the largest and most influential centers for the study of Tibetan Buddhism in the world, numbering to nearly 10000 monks, nuns, and lay disciples by the year 2000. Nijanand , Pranami Dharm & Karma Part 1: Sarkar Sri

Sooner or later, nearly all human beings wonders about the true purpose of their life. Is it to work hard to improve our living conditions, to provide for our families, to die after perhaps 70 or 80 years, and then to be nonexistent forever? Is acquiring all material wealth the main purpose in life? Can it only lead to a happy and meaningful life? Probably, the answer to these questions is, no. As human beings, we have always attempted--and will continue--to fill the emptiness of our lives with confidence and purpose. Todays human is lost in the jungle of day-to-day problems such as deteriorating family values, drug, tobacco, alcohol abuse, crime, and killer diseases like cancer and AIDS. Naturally, the scripture-prescribed goals of spiritual awakening and the attainment of salvation or eternal bliss have become a low priority for individuals. In fact, when we think deeply about all this, we find that our life priorities have been misplaced. Why do people turn to God? Today, people are seen turning to God more for their worldly needs -- for a peace of mind and comfort to cope with lifes routine problems - than for their need for self-actualization. Of course, religions, scriptures and masters have satisfied both the needs, and there is nothing wrong with it. But, is this the real purpose of adopting a religion? What is the common view of scriptures in this regard? Why shouldnt we focus more on the real essence of the scriptural wisdom that can bring us eternal happiness ...

Bauls of Bengal 2

The bauls are joined by a student with Guitar at Ghonta-tolla, near Amrakunja at the Vishwabharati Campus, Shantiniketan. The origin of Bauls is not known exactly, but the word "Baul" has appeared in Bengali texts as old as the 15th century. The word is found in the Chaitanya Bhagavata of Vrindavana Dasa Thakura as well as in the Chaitanya Charitamrita of Krishnadasa Kaviraja. Some scholars maintain that it is not clear when the word took its sectarian significance, as opposed to being a synonym for the word madcap, agitated. The beginning of the Baul movement was attributed to Birbhadra, the son of the Vaishnavite saint Nityananda, or alternatively to the 8th century Persian minstrels called Ba'al. Bauls are a part of the culture of rural Bengal. Whatever their origin, Baul thought has mixed elements of Tantra, Sufi Islam, Vaishnavism and Buddhism. They are thought to have been influenced by the Hindu tantric sect of the Kartabhajas, as well as Tantric Buddhist schools like the Vaishnava-Sahajiya. Some scholars find traces of these thoughts in the ancient practices of Yoga as well as the Charyapadas, which are Buddhist hymns that are the first known example of written Bengali. The Bauls themselves attribute their lack of historical records to their reluctance to leave traces behind. Dr. Jeanne Openshaw writes that the music of the Bauls appears to have been passed down entirely in oral form until the end of the 19th century, when it was first transcribed by outside ...

Endymione - "Shambhala" (Ambient Sound 2008)

----------------------- Shambhala is a mythical kingdom hidden somewhere beyond the snowpeaks of the Himalayas. It is mentioned in ancient texts relating to the Kalachakra, the latest buddhist tantric School of India (11th Century). The Tibetan Bön scriptures also speak of a closely-related mythical land called Ol-mo-lung-ring. Shambhala is believed to be a society where all the inhabitants are enlightened, actually a Buddhist "Pure Land". According to the Kalachakra Tantra ("Treatise of the Wheel of Time"), King Suchandra of the Kingdom of Shambhala requested teaching from the Buddha that would ...

Prajnaparamita Mantra (Heart Sūtra) - Bát Nhã Ba La Mật Đa (câu chú)

The Heart Sūtra is an early Mahāyāna Buddhist sūtra that is popular for its brevity and depth of meaning. Its Sanskrit name Prajñāpāramitā Hṛdaya literally translates to the "Heart of the Perfection of Transcendent Wisdom." The Heart Sūtra is often cited as the best known and most popular of all Buddhist scriptures. The Heart Sūtra is a member of the Perfection of Wisdom (Prajñāpāramitā) group of Mahāyāna Buddhist literature, and along with the Diamond Sūtra, is perhaps the most prominent representative of the genre. The Heart Sūtra is made up of 14 shlokas in Sanskrit; a shloka composed of 32 syllables. In Chinese, it is 260 Chinese characters, while in English it is composed of sixteen sentences. This makes it one of the shortest of the Perfection of Wisdom texts, which exist in various lengths up to 100000 shlokas. According to Buddhist scholar and author Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in his commentary to the Heart Sūtra: "The Essence of Wisdom Sutra (Heart Sūtra) is much shorter than the other Perfection of Wisdom sūtras but it contains explicitly or implicitly the entire meaning of the longer Sutras." This sutra is classified by Edward Conze as belonging to the third of four periods in the development of the Perfection of Wisdom canon, although because it contains a mantra ...

Yoga, Karma, and Rebirth

For serious yoga practitioners curious to know the ancient origins of the art, Stephen Phillips, a professional philosopher and sanskritist with a long-standing personal practice, lays out the philosophies of action, knowledge, and devotion as well as the processes of meditation, reasoning, and self-analysis that formed the basis of yoga in ancient and classical India and continue to shape it today. In discussing yoga's fundamental commitments, Phillips explores traditional teachings of hatha yoga, karma yoga, bhakti yoga, and tantra, and shows how such core concepts as self-monitoring consciousness, karma, nonharmfulness ( ahimsa), reincarnation, and the powers of consciousness relate to modern practice. He outlines values implicit in bhakti yoga and the tantric yoga of beauty and art and explains the occult psychologies of koshas, skandhas, and chakras. His book incorporates original translations from the early Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga Sutra (the entire text), the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and seminal tantric writings of the tenth-century Kashmiri Shaivite, Abhinava Gupta. A glossary defining more than three hundred technical terms and an extensive bibliography offer further help to nonscholars. A remarkable exploration of yoga's conceptual legacy, Yoga, Karma, and Rebirth crystallizes ideas about self and reality that unite the many incarnations of yoga.
