Concierto de aranjuez hecho por Joaquìn Rodrigo.El maestro Rodrigo compuso el 'Concierto de Aranjuez' allá por 1939, a raiz de un encuentro que tuvo en París con el guitarrista Regino Sainz de la Maza, uno de los más conocidos por aquella época y que, como es obvio, fue la guitarra de la primera interpretación que se hizo en 1940 en Barcelona. Creo que ni el propio maestro Rodrigo se imaginaba el éxito que iba a suponer su 'Concierto de Aranjuez' cuando lo presentó en 1940. El 'Concierto de Aranjuez' era la primera obra compuesta específicamente para guitarra y la mezcla gustó tanto, que cuentan que una multitud entusiasmada sacó al maestro Rodrigo a hombros y le pasearon y vitorearon por las calles adyacentes al teatro.

The palace is open to the public as one of the Spanish royal sites. It was commissioned by Philip II and designed by Juan Bautista de Toledo and Juan de Herrera, who also designed El Escorial. It was completed during the reign of Ferdinand VI; Charles III had two wings added to it. The huge gardens, built to relieve its royal residents from the dust and drought of the Spanish meseta using the waters of the adjacent Tagus and Jarama rivers, are Spain's most important of the Habsburg period. Narciso Yepes performs the Concerto ("Tres Graficos" or "Trois Graphiques") for 10-string guitar by Maurice Ohana. Rafael Fruehbeck de Burgos is conducting. This concerto was dedicated to Narciso Yepes and all Ohana's compositions for guitar were adapted or written for 10-string guitar after his collaboration with Yepes, including one 30 minute suite, "Si le jour parait...", and another of 20 minutes, "Cadran lunaire*".
