Each episode of Mission: Impossible featured a unique opening. Clips from the upcoming show were edited together in the fast-paced style of Lalo Schrifrin's brilliant theme song and played before the opening credits. Here, I have edited together the intros to six episodes, showing the match lighting only on the first episode and the opening credits for the sixth episode only. These were recorded by me on VHS off television in 1992-93 and edited together on an iMac using iMovie HD. The episodes featured here are from the second and third seasons. This is one action-packed sequence - enjoy!

It chronicled the missions of a team of secret American government agents known as the Impossible Missions Force (IMF). The leader of the team was Jim Phelps, played by Peter Graves, except in the first season, during which the leader was Dan Briggs, played by Steven Hill. A hallmark of the series shows Phelps receiving his instructions on a tape that then self destructs, accompanied by the iconic theme music composed by Lalo Schifrin. The series aired on the CBS network from September 1966 to March 1973. This is an homage to Akira Jimbo - one of the best and most creative game-changing drummers. All the samples you're hearing (save for the original line from the TV show at the end of the piece) were recorded by me with the DTXpressIII drum module through the Roland SPD-S Pad, and are being triggered in real-time. The bass line (a looped sample) and the Chorus section are being triggered on an auxilliary pad on my right (It's difficult to see in the video). Hope you Enjoy!
