He is one of the more widely revered bodhisattvas in mainstream Mahayana Buddhism, as well as unofficially in Theravada Buddhism. The original name for this bodhisattva was Avalokitasvara. The complete CD is available at www.myoedizioni.it In the Avalokitesvara Sutra it's the Bodhisattva himself to tell that when he was charged to bring benefits and happyness to all living beings, didn't trust it, so he turned to Buddha, saying: "If I'm able to bring happyness to all living beings, let me have one thousand hands and a thousand eyes." After his statement, hands and eyes on his body multiplied in a thousand. Because of this the Bodhistavva is also known with name of Thounsand Eyes and Thousand Hand Bodhisattva. DIAMONDS OF SUTRA This CD is a collection of the ancient and devotional chants collected in the Lotus Sutra. Sutras (Buddhist teachings) in the Japanese tradition for centuries have relied on in an ancient language called Shindoku, namely "language of faith." To the Buddhist devouts of Hokke tradition (tradition of Lotus Sutra) some chapters hold a special significance for the spiritual growth of his followers: these chapters are the II and the XVI chapter Lotus Sutra. In this publication the ancient language brings again the mysterious and hidden sounds of the Buddhist faith. From the Lotus Sutra has also been choosen the invocation of Chapter Dharani: since the birth of Japanese Buddhism is the set of formulas (Dharani) used for the blessing of both objects and people in order to ward off malevolent entity. In a publication devoted to the Lotus Sutra could not fail in our opinion even the invocation of Tibet preeminently: Om Mani Padme Hum is the ...

This presentation of Medicine Buddha Mantra is extracted from a version of the Buddhism Most Superior Dhāraṇī Anthologies of Covert Garbha, which were originally compiled by a mahā-śramaṇāya, Master Xing-Lin in/about year 898 in the Tang Dynasty in China. The Dhāraṇī Anthologies were collectively engraved in Fangshan Stone Sutra in Chinese transcription as well with some ancient Sanskrit in Siddham script aside for antithesis. It was quite a valuable stone carving project said to contain about 160000 characters of Chinese-Sanskrit corresponding sounds, and about 8000 words of unadulterated ancient Sanskrit. Such majestic carving work was completed in/about year 1147 in the Jin Dynasty. This presentation is good for chanting, praying and simultaneously for self contemplation. The engraved Sanskrit in Siddham script aside for antithesis in Fangshan Stone Sutra, were obviously in some ways, useful for reference study and for tracing the accuracy of reciting Mantras in Sanskrit of an ancient language as well as in Roman alphabet by the hereafter intended Learner or chanting/meditating Practitioners. Special Note for Pronouncing this Mantra:- 1) Vaidūrya: vai is pronounced as wai. dū as duu 2) Tathāgatāyārhate: ā is pronounced as aa; r is as r(a) -- (sound / tongue) 3) Oṃ: ṃ is pronounced as mm 4) Samudgate: According to the Sanskrit in Siddham script engraved in Fangshan Stone, (Samudgate) should be pronounced as (Samu - dgate), not (Samud - gate); d is chanted as d(a ...
