Luis Miguel, one of the most anticipated artists festival, not only won the Silver Seagull and Seagull Gold but received Gull's first Platinum, delivered personally by the mayor of the city, Virginia Reginato. As if the awards were not enough, the mayor also gave excited keys of the city. The singer led the standing ovation that came from that set foot on stage. "It is a piece of my heart here in Chile Vina del Mar," said Luis Miguel. The star born in Puerto Rico and Mexican citizen is an acquaintance of the Quinta Vergara and he chose the site to begin the celebration of his 30 year career. His first performance at the festival was in 1984 when he was only 13.
