I appositely tabbed out the notes played as they were originally done by the bassist on the actual track. The corresponding tab gives you the notes when you want them in a convenient placement on the bottom of the screen. This was an easy song to learn and play. It was so easy that I forgot a little part in the second-to-last PRE-CHORUS, but the tab still shows the notes you should be playing. haha. It's easy, so you will have it down in no time. I am slightly gladdened as well as a little self-skeptical. I am doing "Awakening," by Chris Tomlin, which is the live version, from the 2010 "Passion: Awakening" album. I am doing the version that my church has listed on Planning Center Online, which is in the key of "D" instead of "E" (I think it's "E"). I am actually going to tune down to Drop D for this song. Mind you, I used to play in a Drop D band. I even played in a Drop C band. I am only nervous, because it is weird to retune. I guess my soul yearns for a five-string bass, since I am at heart too lazy to tune up and down and left and right all the time. Actually, it's just down and up, because it's never "left" in any tuning, which isn't "right." haha.
