Simple Flash Tutorial. Music; 4 Minutes. The Final Countdown.
This is the very basic stick figure tutorial I made for beginners. Note that this is my own preference and style of how to animate and there are many different ways/styles that work just as well if not better than mine, so keep exploring and experimenting! ....eeh... really sorry about the lame music. The original music had copyright issues so I had to change it to a different one... oh well lol. -Update- I've been getting a lot of questions that I already answered so i'll write them down here. - Flash is NOT a free program and you have to buy it online. - Zoom can be anywhere up to 300 to 500 - I use max brush size - 24 frames per second - Ideal brush smoothing for me is 35-40
(Best watched in full screen!) Another stick figure tutorial made by me! This time covering a very basic fight scene. ~~FACTS~~ - This tutorial is just ONE of MANY ways of stick animating and this is just how I learned over the years. - This program is Macromedia Flash 8 (not a free program) - I used a Wacom Intuos 3 (4x6) tablet - It's important to zoom in a lot when you animate (I zoomed in 500% but you could go a little over or under) - I used the 2nd to largest brush in this video - There is no PERFECT smoothing setting! It is all a matter of your preference. - I drew the body and legs first and then went back to add the arms with the "Object Drawing" on. (This is just a matter of preference as well) - Heads are added last with the circle tool with the "Object drawing" on. - Music in order: Okami Sountrack - Reset (thank you), Upkeeper, Old Man Orange
In this Flash CS5 tutorial for beginners, you'll learn how to create a simple frame by frame animation in Flash. For more flash tutorials: www.flashpotential.com
The first half of a flash tutorial I made for beginners. (its in 2 parts because the quality would have been bad) In the vid I forget to say that F7 creates a new blank frame. Hope it helps all those who were asking how I made my animations. And yeah, the program is Macromedia Flash Mx 6 (sry for the disturbing noises I had a cold)
After several requests, I made a tutorial explaining some of the techniques that I use to make my frame-by-frame stick figure animations. This is VERY basic stuff for complete noobs who are new to flash, nothing fancy. After watching this, you will be able to make simple stick fighting animations. Enjoy and please rate/comment! ~G PS: if you don't have flash, here's a link to the trial version: www.adobe.com This tutorial is for CS3, things are a different in CS5 (namely, 'motion tween' I talk about would be 'classic tween' in CS5), but you should still be able to follow along with this tutorial, as well as make some pretty awesome animations. Also, music is Crushing Day and Ice 9, both by Joe Satriani
~Get a FLUIDANIMS T-shirt!~ www.fluidanims.com Just a simple stick-construction tutorial. A flash stick figure tutorial for beg- med animators. this tutorial can teach you about line stick figures, fbf animation, motion tweening, drawing blood, editing multiple frames, and more. i hope you learn something. maybe.
I have been asked "How do you make your stick figure animations?" many times before so I decided to make this video. This video shows you step by step how I make my stick figure animations. Perhaps now you can make your own. I know not all people have the same programs that I use in this video but there are many other programs that you can get or you might already have that do basically the same thing. If you make your own stick figure animation using this process and make a video out of it please send it as a video response, I want to see what other people can come up with. And by the way, the music is "Squeeze" by Robert Randolph and the Family Band. Recently I had to replace the audio due to copyright infringement issues, the new song is 34 Ghosts IV by Nine Inch Nails If you have any more questions about how to make a stick figure animation please ask here. I hope this video helps anyone who was curious before. ( more ) I added some annotations to clear up some questions. Basically they tell you that I used Magix Music Maker to record, edit, and save the video, that Adobe ImageReady is only available in older versions of Adobe Photoshop CS packs, and that I used UnFREEz gif animator to make the animated gif.
