Depeche Mode-Tainted Love Not sure if I'm happy with how this one came out. A little sloppy I guess. I guess I'll just see what you guys think. Edit: People keep telling me that this is not Depeche Mode. The reason I said it was, is I've 3 sources that say it is, and one that says its some heavy metal band that its not. I COULD BE WRONG! So if someone DOES know who this version is by, please tell me. For those who are saying that its by Soft Cell, I have heard the Soft Cell version, and I don't think it's the same band. If you can prove me wrong, ok, but that implies PROOF. Don't just tell me "This isn't Depeche Mode, its Soft Cell, asshole!", give me relevant information. For those who say its Soft Cell because they think that its a Soft Cell song and no other band has done it, you're wrong. Soft Cell wasn't even the original version. It was originally by Gloria Jones.

This is one of Soft Cell's BEST songs! It's simply incredible. WARNING: there's some nudity from the Sex Dwarf clips I used in this... I created this video by compiling scenes from the official music videos for Frustration, Bedsitter, Down in the Subway, Sex Dwarf, and Seedy Films. I tried to capture the mood of the song, so that's why I chose a bunch of creepy, twisted scenes about killing, stalking, lurking around at night, etc. I hope all Soft Cell fans will enjoy this! I spent a lot more time making this video than my Depeche Mode ones. :P

Recorded from Top Of The Pops 1984. Soft Cell are an English synthpop duo who came to prominence in the early 1980s. They consist of vocalist Marc Almond and instrumentalist David Ball. The duo is most widely known for their 1981 worldwide hit version of "Tainted Love" and influential multi-platinum debut Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret. In the UK, they had ten Top 40 hits, including "Bedsitter" (No.4), "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye" (No.3), "Torch" (No.2), and "What!" (No.3), and also had four Top 20 albums between 1981 and 1984.[ The duo split in 1984, but reformed in the early 2000s to tour and released a new album in 2002. Their songs have been covered by various artists including Nine Inch Nails, David Gray, Nouvelle Vague, Marilyn Manson and A-ha. Soft Cell's track "Memorabilia" recognized the band as pioneers of techno style. The duo have sold 10 million records worldwide. Soft Cell was initiated during 1978 after Almond and Ball met at Leeds Polytechnic. Their initial efforts at recording resulted in an EP called Mutant Moments that year, funded by a loan of £2000 from Dave Ball's mother, made with a simple 2-track recorder. This was released independently with only 2000 vinyl copies pressed and has since become a highly valued collectors item. Their early shows and EP caught the interest of certain record labels, such as Mute Records and Some Bizzare Records, both of which pioneered the new wave of synthesizer bands like Depeche Mode.
