*** The great Daniele Barioni, one of the most beautiful voices ever, sings Falvo's Dicitencello vuie. He ends the piece with an incredible high C. This recording is part of the soundtrack for the 1958 movie "Carosello di canzoni".
Here is part 3 in my audition videos for the role of Manrico, the tenor hero in Il Trovatore. This is perhaps the easiest part in the opera, takes a short time... I add a high C in the last note...(Tenors should use the chance to "warm up for the High C´s in Di quella pira". It is a bit later in the opera.....) I did an audition for the Icelandic opera some months ago.I sang Che gelida manina and Di quella pira, both arias with a High C.The tenors that got the jobs sing not the high C´s. Gissur Páll Gissurarson had to sing lower as Rodolfo in La boheme and Jóhann Friðgeir Valdimarsson will sing lower Di quella pira, I am SURE of that.....That will be in october....(.I am ready to cover for him, I know the tenor part "by heart" .....) I "predictor" said I will step in for him as Manrico....I hope he is right....I love the role... I know nine tenor roles and a lot of songs and canzonas,lieder...plus arias from other operas... After that I will get some tenor jobs abroad.......(He said...) Kári Friðriksson, email@example.com Tel: 0354 6910665 / 00354 5640665
